Why is the red one cheaper?

The Standard Red is our signature horse poop scooper colour and our most popular option. All other colours are made to order, so they cost more to produce. Some customers want their Paddock Blade to match their farm equipment or even their wellys. All Paddock Blades do the same job. Your choice of colour is entirely up to you!

How do you empty it?

The Paddock Blade has six handles around the side and rear, and a bar at the front to make emptying quick and easy. Once you have done your paddock cleaning and filled it up to the desired level, simply tow your Paddock Blade over to your poo pile, unhitch it and lift and tip it from the back, side or front to raise and tilt. Alternatively, you can keep a shovel, rake or brush at your poo pile to empty the contents in a few seconds. Whatever method you choose it will save you hours of time and effort every single week.

WILL IT WORK ON MY PROPERTY/TERRAIN?

The Paddock Blade horse manure collector is manufactured for Australian conditions and has been rigorously tested to ensure it’s up the task for any horse property! It’s designed to work on flat, hilly, grassy, rocky and undulating terrain. The only difficulty you may encounter is if you use your Paddock Blade before allowing moist grass and manure to dry.

How fast does it clear an acre?

The Paddock Blade has been put through its paces by our team and our customers. You can check out what they think of Paddock Blade here. An acre can be cleared of manure in only 10 minutes. Not only do you save time, you’re no longer toiling in the harsh sun and struggling with a rake and wheelbarrow. Manure collecting becomes a breeze!

How effective is it on different sized properties?

Many of our customers find that paddock cleaning is reduced from a job that usually takes hours to only minutes, saving tons of hard work in the process and giving them more time with their horses! With its tow behind design, your Paddock Blade can be used on any size property, from the hobby farm to the commercial operation.

How does it work?

Designed by horse people for horse people, we know that you want a tool that’ll not only work, but be easy to use. To use your Paddock Blade, simply hitch it to your vehicle, tow and collect. It will automatically adapt itself to keep a tight ground plane to any surface and at any angle. Make your travelling at 12-18mph. Now you can sit back and enjoy the ride!

Is it safe?

We have spent hundreds of hours rigorously testing and developing our horse poo picker. The Paddock Blade is engineered to be perfectly safe when used as intended and for purpose. As when operating any equipment, follow all safety instructions and consider your own physical limitations when lifting or manoeuvring heavy loads.

Who should buy one?

Just about anyone in the agricultural world! Any person who owns or manages animals that produce manure should consider investing in their own Paddock Blade! While it’s designed for horse manure pickup, the Paddock Blade is also sought after for its variety of other uses. To put it simply, if you have mess to pick up, then the Paddock Blade is the solution for you!

What are the benefits?

The benefits of your own Paddock Blade are life changing! It saves you hours of your precious time every time it is used – reducing the time you’d usually have to spend picking up manure by at least one-third. Your horses will be happier and healthier as they’ll have a cleaner environment. It’s also a fun machine to use and work with! The Paddock Blade will alleviate all those aches and pains caused by the arduous backbreaking task of using a rake and wheelbarrow. Long-term, it can help prevent repetitive strain injuries on your back, neck, shoulders and arms.

What are the limitations?

We take immense pride in offering you a product that performs as promised. Our commitment to quality design and engineering has produced a product that can be used on 95% of terrain, requires zero maintenance and will last you a minimum of 10 years. However, like any product, it does have its limitations and we are always open and honest about these. The Paddock Blade won’t perform well on sand arenas or menages. It also shouldn’t be used immediately after rain. Let the ground dry first for best results.

Are there any others uses?

In tow mode, your Paddock Blade will efficiently collect manure, rocks, sticks, leaves and other organic debris. Some of our customers use their Paddock Blade entirely for clearing rocks and tidying up their property. In trailer mode, your Paddock Blade can also be used to carry heavy loads, up to 500kg. Bales, bowsers and any other heavy items that you can think of (up to half a tonne in weight) can be moved easily by Paddock Blade.

Don't Expect Miracles.

The blade is a useful tool, however, it is very heavy and you will need to empty it by hand. You need good upper body strength to move it if it’s empty. You wouldn’t be able to lift it, safely, once it’s full to tip it into a trailer. The front of the blade clogs quickly. I have to carry a shovel on the quad to move it back into the blade. It won’t pick everything up. It flattens it and spreads it about. I’ve only had it a few weeks and it is summer here in Scotland. How it will cope in winter when the ground is muddy and sodden, I do not know. The customer service was excellent and delivery was good. The product is robust and well made. In summary, don’t expect miracles. It isn’t light and you will have to manually remove the manure as it will be too heavy to lift a full blade to tip it into a trailer. Does it save time? Yes.

Hi Ian, Thank you for your feedback we appreciate you taking the time to leave it. We're always here and happy to help. Here's a few tips to have it working just as well for you as it does for everyone else.

1: It does have to be heavy to get the job done, thats part of the robust design. If your finding it to heavy to lift either fill it less or you can sweep/rake it out.

2: If the fronts getting blocked your not going fast enough to create enough inertia to move what your collecting back into the blade so the new stuff can enter. 10-15mph is a guide depending on your vehicle and terrain.

We hope this helps, please let us know how you get on and always feel free to give us a call as going over this on a phone or video call can be easier

If you have a paddock you need this

I’m absolutely in love with my paddock blade.. she’s a beast! I swear of all the farm equipment I’ve purchased this is by far the best I’ve bought. Money well spent!
I plan on purchasing another one in the near future.
Thanks so much! Oh did I mention how much I love this thing! Best purchase ever!!

Great product Great service

After a year of bouncing around pastures a couple the bolts worked loose and were lost in the weeds. Jake immediately sent some complete replacements after I inquired where I could find some. Locktite is on my shopping list. The blade has made a job no one would do for any amount of pay, to a task that doesn’t take all day and has some willing to do it. After a learning curve we figured out ways to make it even faster.like towing it backward on the return trip to avoid picking up anything..and hooking it up under a fence line to avoid the very muddy gate area. A solid simple piece of equipment from a great company to do business with.

Good investment

Good investment, great sturdy product. A bit heavy for some of our farm hands to empty when full but the Paddock Blade team were great at providing some alternative solutions with emptying.

Genuine reviews from very happy people

Received in quick time. Does exactly what it should do, just got to get the speed right. Any little bits missed I simply let dry out and chain harrow over. Very impressed. Could do with a tractor sized version though! Thank you for an excellent product

Upon receiving the paddock blade, I have been nothing but impressed saving huge amounts of time and keeping the yard to the highest possible standard.
I recommend and congratulate Paddock Blade UK for bringing this amazing tool into Horse management.

Roland Tong

Great bit of kit, works well in our paddocks. Looking forward to riding in all the spare time I’ll have not poo picking! Video in comments of it in action!

Ruth Jacobs

I was so dubious that this would work for me. I have very bumpy rig and furrow fields. I’m pleased to say I was wrong. I had to go over the field a number of times but I have a clear field and a huge pile of droppings.

Can’t wait to use this each week to ensure my fields are kept poo free!

Helen Chester

Excellent purchase Received in quick time! Our fields are not flat and we have had no issues. Very impressed I will never use a wheel barrow again.
Thank you for an excellent product and excellent customer service.

Rhian Mullis

Top quality item and excellent customer service. Oh and you can do a 2 acre field that hasn’t been done in a month (or two) in under an hour!

Jon Davis

Awesome piece of kit and don’t know how we have gone so long without one.

Victoria Wallace

Paddock blade – one of the best tools ever. Easy to use, easy to tow, makes light work of the fields. Saves tonnes of time, picks up every bit and even levels the field out while it’s going. Highly Highly recommend.
