At Paddock Blade, we want you to be fully satisfied with your purchase. We are committed to following UK consumer law, including your statutory rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
This policy applies to purchases from Paddock Blade UK, operated by Paddock Blade Industries Ltd.
1. Your right to cancel (cooling-off period)
If you purchased online as a consumer, you have the right to cancel your order for any reason within 14 days of receiving your goods.
To cancel, email [email protected] within 14 days of receiving your item. You then have a further 14 days to return it.
You do not need to give a reason, and this right applies even if the item is not faulty.
2. Refunds for cancelled orders
If you cancel within the 14-day period:
- We will refund the full purchase price of the item
- We will also refund the standard delivery charge you paid, if any
- Refunds are processed to your original payment method within 14 days of us receiving the goods back, or of you providing proof of return, whichever is earlier
If you chose a faster or premium delivery option, we refund the standard delivery charge only.
3. Return shipping costs
If you are returning an item because you have changed your mind, you are responsible for the cost of returning it to us.
Our products are heavy and must be returned by pallet or freight courier. Return freight is charged at a flat rate of £100. We will confirm the return address when you contact us.
We can arrange collection on your behalf and deduct this cost from your refund, if agreed in advance.
You are responsible for the goods until they reach us. We recommend using an insured, tracked service and keeping proof of collection.
4. Returns of used items — deductions may apply
You are entitled to inspect the product to assess its nature, characteristics and functioning, just as you would in a shop. However, if you use the product beyond basic inspection, we may reduce your refund to reflect the loss in resale value.
Examples of use beyond inspection include:
- Using the Paddock Blade in the field
- Returning the item soiled with mud, manure or other material
- Scratches, dents, coating damage or other cosmetic damage
Where a returned product requires cleaning, sanitising, re-coating or repackaging before it can be resold, we will deduct the reasonable cost of that work. For a Paddock Blade returned with field use this is typically £100, and will not exceed 20% of the purchase price. Where damage is more significant, the deduction will reflect the actual loss in value.
We do not charge flat restocking or administration fees. Deductions reflect only the actual loss in value caused by use.
5. How to return your item
Please ensure the item is:
- Cleaned and free of mud and manure
- Strapped securely to the original pallet, or a suitable replacement
- Returned complete with all original parts and components
- Packaged safely to prevent damage in transit
- Labelled with a clearly visible freight label
Once collected, please email your courier's signed collection note to [email protected] so we can track the return and process your refund.
6. Extended returns (30-day goodwill policy)
In addition to your legal rights, we offer a 30-day goodwill returns policy for unused items. If you notify us between 15 and 30 days after receiving your item, and the item is completely unused and in resaleable condition, we may at our discretion offer a refund excluding original shipping costs. Return shipping remains your responsibility.
7. Faulty or misdescribed goods
Your right to cancel is separate from, and in addition to, your rights if goods are faulty or not as described.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, if your goods are faulty you may be entitled to a full refund within 30 days of receipt, or to a repair or replacement after that period. If goods are faulty, we pay the cost of return.
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights.
8. Items that cannot be returned
The following are non-returnable unless faulty:
- Customised or made-to-order items
- Items damaged by misuse, neglect or inadequate return packaging
- Items returned after 30 days, unless a fault is present
9. Business customers
Where you purchase as a business rather than as a consumer, the statutory cancellation rights above do not apply. Business returns are at our discretion and may be subject to a restocking charge. Please contact us before returning any goods.
10. Klarna
To offer Klarna's payment options, we pass certain aspects of your personal information to Klarna, such as contact and order details, so that Klarna can assess whether you qualify for their payment options and tailor those options for you.
