Stable Hay OptiMizer
A revolutionary, durable slow hay feeder, that is quick to
fill and wastes less than 1% of hay

Paddock Blade, the world's leading name in paddock cleaners, trusted by thousands of satisfied customers worldwide, is now in partnership with the makers of Hay OptiMizers in Canada. The OptiMizer has been available since 2019 and is safely used by thousands of horses across North America. We are proud to expand our range with high-quality, Canadian-built slow hay feeders.

Key Features

Easy to Mount: The stable feeder is designed to be mounted in a corner of a stall, shelter, or fenceline. Mounting guidelines and fasteners are provided

Daily Capacity: The OptiMizer can hold up to 15 kg of hay, enough to keep most horses content all night long

Safe and Durable: The manager is made of the same durable polymer used to make playground equipment (LLDPE). All the corners are rounded or bevelled, making the surfaces smooth for safety

Quick to Fill: Smooth, one-handed operation quickly opens the horse-proof latch and closes the feeder

Slow Feed: OptiNet slow feed netting has been designed specifically for equine use. It’s knotless, thick, and durable, yet it’s gentle on horses’ mouths and teeth

No filling nets: The netting is held in place over the hay on a stainless steel assembly. It hangs inside the feeder and drapes over the hay from the top to the bottom as the hay is slowly consumed

Drainage: 1 hole in the bottom for cleaning. It can also be used to soak hay before feeding

Dimensions

  • Length and Width: 75cm X 75cm
  • Weight: Approximately 14 kg when empty

4 Net Options

● The standard is 4cm – This works great for the vast majority of horses
● The large is 6cm – Consider it for poor doers
● The small is 3cm – Consider it for easy doers
● The UltraNet feels like cotton when it is in use and shrinks from 4cm → 3cm in areas of high use. It is made from ultra high molecular weight Polyethylene and is 15 times stronger than steel. Consider it for horses that are particularly hard on nets

Feeder Height

● The feeder is designed to be mounted in the corner of a stall, fenceline or shelter. The feeder is 56 cm deep and can be mounted at any height for optimal feeding

Benefits For Your Horses

Slow, Natural Feeding: Clean hay is always available. Eating is slow and relaxed. Horses’ heads are down in a natural position
Content Horses: The netting provides positive, relaxing oral stimulation and is gentle on lips, gums, and teeth. Horses take small bites, chew thousands of times a day, and are content

Benefits for You

Save Money: Less than 1% of hay is wasted. Consumption is controlled, and hay isn’t soiled or wasted
Save Time: Feed less frequently, easy and fast to refill
11% hay savings compared to standard hay nets
Hay Can Be Soaked in the Feeder: Simply plug the drainage hole, add hay and water, and place a bucket under the feeder. Pull the plug, drain the water, and your hay is soaked in place
No Assembly Required: Each OptiMizer is shipped fully assembled
● OptiMizers are durable and safe to use
Content Horses: They have something to do, are less anxious, and reduce problematic behaviours like cribbing, weaving, and stall walking
No Wasted Hay to Clean Up: Stalls are cleaner with little to no hay to clean up

Warranty:
● 5-year warranty on the plastic and stainless steel components
● 12-month warranty on the Ultranet

Please note this is a pre-order product and will be delivered in 6-8 weeks

Genuine reviews from very happy people

Upon receiving the paddock blade, I have been nothing but impressed saving huge amounts of time and keeping the yard to the highest possible standard.
I recommend and congratulate Paddock Blade UK for bringing this amazing tool into Horse management.

I was so dubious that this would work for me. I have very bumpy rig and furrow fields. I’m pleased to say I was wrong. I had to go over the field a number of times but I have a clear field and a huge pile of droppings.

Can’t wait to use this each week to ensure my fields are kept poo free!

Helen Chester

Excellent purchase Received in quick time! Our fields are not flat and we have had no issues. Very impressed I will never use a wheel barrow again.
Thank you for an excellent product and excellent customer service.

BEST PURCHASE EVER !

Received our paddock blade on Friday and honestly couldn’t be more thrilled with it. It’s easy to use, does a fabulous job and really couldn’t recommend it enough! To top it off the entire process was hassle free too.

Rhian Mullis

Top quality item and excellent customer service. Oh and you can do a 2 acre field that hasn’t been done in a month (or two) in under an hour!

Jon Davis

Awesome piece of kit and don’t know how we have gone so long without one.

Victoria Wallace

Paddock blade – one of the best tools ever. Easy to use, easy to tow, makes light work of the fields. Saves tonnes of time, picks up every bit and even levels the field out while it’s going. Highly Highly recommend.
